About Us

Developing Leadership in Reducing Substance Abuse (DLRSA) is a national program of The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The DLRSA National Program Office is located within the Graduate School of Social Work/Regional Research Institute at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon.
 

Nurturing the next generation of public health leaders in substance abuse

The Developing Leadership program seeks to:

  • Inspire emerging talent to achieve a new level of creativity, passion, and commitment to the substance abuse field in public health through an intensive mentoring relationship, project development, and educational/leadership development opportunities, and
  • Attract new talent to the leadership ranks at all levels of the substance abuse field in public health who reflect the ethnic and gender diversity found in the population of the United States
